In the phase of early conception of our Kepets-ULM-c-Laserengraving
family our philosophies and our demands for highest quality standards
built the base of the upcoming construction.
As on all our products, we applied highest standards, explicitely
regarding the real world and the requirements of the user. The defined
target was: the Kepets-ULM-c-Laserengraving family will be the best,
most economic, most stable and most efficient machine on the world
market.
Satisfied customers, using Kepets-ULM-c-Laserengraving machines,
corroborate that we reached this target. In order to do so, we needed
to deeply analyse specific physical conditions and to develop new
technologies and construction principles in order to achieve highest
stability and self-balancing assembly of parts. Our SingleRef-Technologie
and our integration in the further development of excimer lasersources
resulted in a highly efficient, driftfree, ultra compact and highly
modular machine, that still engraves faultless and perfect positioned
when it is inclined or lifted on one corner.
Until the launch of the Kepets-ULM-c-Laserengraving family numerous
users made very bad experiences with machines supplied by competitors,
so the prejudice that excimer lasers are unreliable, cost-intensive
and dangerous because of the premix gas, was born.
Due to our particular technologies and major improvements on our
specific excimer-lasersources the Kepets-ULM-c-Laserengraving family
could rebut this prejudice and prove extreme reliability, unbeatable
operating efficiency and highest security.
In fact, the operational costs are considerably lower than with
solid state lasers of similar wavelength. Excimer lasers need a
specific gas for operation which up to now was stored in external
gas cabinets supplied by piping, causing various dangers, sources
of error and inadequacy. Thus the production line layout was literally
cemented because any change would have caused tremendous effort
and expense for new piping, flushing devices, security certifications,
etc.
To underline our understanding of security, flexibility and efficiency
we integrated a high-security-gasinstallation in the already compact
built machine. Every machine holds a 20ltr premix cylindre, enough
for 6-12 months operation. The high-security-gasinstallation provides
absolute security, even in failure of energy, is not requiring flue
and absorbes, due to a detailed hazard analyses any possible scenario
of failure, including, thanks to a specific procedure, the change
of the gas cylindres.
The highly modular and drift-free construction offers numerous docking
facilities for handling, camera and other equipment as well as a
brilliant base for optimisation to meet specific customer requirements.
The Kepets-ULM-c-Excimer-Laser engraves in perfect quality figures,
letters and patterns from 10mm down to 0,04mm heights and diametre
of points or lines down to 0,005mm. It is therefore the ideal solution
for engraving and micro-engraving of optical components mineral
or organic glasses -with or without hardcoat or ar-coat- contact
lenses, mineral or metal molds or moldinserts.
Sapphir, diamond, nickel. stainless steel, aluminium, ceramic as
well as many other materials are efficiently and economically engraved.
The reliable control unit and the sequence control system that is
highly adaptable to individual needs, ensure easiest operation and
networking.
A unique feature of the Kepets-ULM-c family is the integrated Kepets-Loading-Servo-System,
that is loaded (manually or fully automatic) outside the machine.
The floating seat (chuck) can be replaced by a different one within
seconds without any adaption or adjustment. The tooling time to
change from e.g. blocked lenses to unblocked molds is only a few
seconds.
Regarding security, the Kepets-ULM-c machines set new standards.
The security measures taken concerning laser security and machine
security exceed by far the requirements of the most demanding authorities
(e.g. the FDA in the USA). No other machine on the world market
is coming close to this high security level. We launched an excimer
laser engraving system that raised the bar for the market.
